Wherein your humble scribe presents a party he put together for the recently released Tales of the Space Princess. These folks are by-the-book new characters, which means they are of wildly divergent “levels” (compensated for a bit by the “luck” mechanic) and have minimal starting gear. On my initial readings, I feel like TotSP is a pretty nice little “old school-based” scifi RPG. Consider grabbing a copy if you’re interesting in such things.

Have you had a chance to play this yet? Have you developed any further opinions about it? I’ve been aware of this for a bit but only started investigating it now.
Sadly, I haven’t had a chance to go anywhere near TotSP since I posted this, Narmer. The two groups I have anything to do with are both wrapped up in annoyingly large epic campaign arcs, which has kept me from trying to squeeze anything into the schedule (and since we only manage to get together about once a month I’m not sure that’s going to improve any time soon).
It’s still a great looking little game to be sure. Enjoy digging into it and let me know if you get anything off the ground.
