TFT Kickstarter, Blah Blah Blah

Listen up, you hooligans. I’ve been playing The Fantasy Trip since 19-and-82. I’ve played full RPG TFT and its component games Melee & Wizard more than any other system (even more than I’ve played all forms of D&D combined). So hop on the damned bandwagon already and back the Kickstarter for the grand re-release of TFT. That way I’ll have even more people to shake my cane at while yelling at them to get offa my lawn. Or, on my better days, more people to play TFT with I suppose.

It’ll do. I could come up with a few more, but they’d probably just be embarrassing in the end.

    Hey Pao, it’s been awhile!

I want to pick this up but my budget dictates I get it later on. It’s one game I vaguely remember from my buddy’s rpg shelf in the 80s. I think we only played it a couple of times. It was a pretty light system and our attention was distracted by AD&D, the shiny bauble of the day.

Looking forward to seeing tft on my table.

Greetings, Comrade Monk! Budgets are a pain, but we do what we must. And if TFT isn’t a game you played much (if at all) then waiting is bound to be fine. But for me this was the mother of all Kickstarters and a thing I never dared to dream would happen. Sure, I still have all my old books, but to see this many people get excited about my all-time favorite game (and thus hope that I’ll get some folks to play it!) is a true delight. When you do get to join in the fun, I’ll welcome you with open arms, amigo!

And, don’t hold me to this, but TFT is a game I might actually get off my duff and run online sometime. If certain fine readers of this humble blog are interested, that is 🙂

Out of curiosity, I was wondering what your plans are of showing us more of “Droids: A Cybernetic Role-Playing Game.” The game and premise intrigues me but copies are scarce (never mind expensive) and I’d like to kick the tires to see if I can house-rule a decent RPG out of it. I’d have written this in your blog entry about it but replies are closed there. Thank you.

Hey Flywheel! Sorry for the delay in my response. I have lofty goals of scanning the Droids RPG at some point and sharing it with the world. But lofty goals are, alas, just that too often. But it is on my list, I promise!
